By Mark Roberts PITTSBURGH (November 1, 2005) It is with great sadness thet AFTRA marks the passing of one of its long-time members, Glen "Bumper" Morgan. Morgan, whose real name was Frederick Merrin died last Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at the age of 57. Bumper Morgan was a long-time fixture on Pittsburgh radio, having arrived in 1984 to work for 3WS. Other local work included stints on WSHH, WJJJ and at 96.1 in its WVTY and WHTX incarnations. Most recently, he was station manager for Christian station WWNL-AM. Morgan is surviced by his wife, Anne, and two daughters, Candace Lucas, of Virginia; and Barbara Merrin, of Maryland. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Merrin family and friends. |
