By Mark Roberts PITTSBURGH (June 12, 2006) In its final meeting Friday, June 9, the Nominating Committee counted votes in the just-concluded election. Attending were Committee members Chuck Aber, Dan Maha, Larry John Meyers, and Mark Roberts, Chair. AED Chris Lacey assisted. Approximately half of the freelance Board seats are up for election every year. Stations select their own members of the Board. The following members were elected to two-year terms on the Local Board of Directors: Mark Roberts
Elected to a three-year term on the AFTRA National Board of Directors: Mark Roberts Elected to a three-year term as Alternate on the AFTRA National Board of Directors: Paul Martino The National Board was recently reduced from approximately 112 members to approximately 73. It is the policy of the new, smaller National Board to make every effort to ensure that all locals are represented at each meeting. In the event Roberts and Martino cannot attend, the Local Board may designate another Alternate. The winners were announced at the June 12, 2006 Membership Meeting.
