PITTSBURGH (January 15, 2006) Eighteen months ago when we started this feed, the demand wasn't there yet, but the capability was. Now, demand has synched with reality. You can have headlines from the AFTRA Pittsburgh website automatically directed to your desktop if you have an RSS Reader installed.

RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is an XML format that enables easy distribution and updating of headlines to personal web pages, and news readers. AFTRA is making the latest news from its website available through this format.
RSS Readers enable users to keep an eye on news, weather, stocks and a variety of other ever-changing sources automatically. And now you can monitor the AFTRA Pittsburgh home page the same way. An always-on, high-speeed internet connection is not necessary, but it helps.
Link your RSS client to www.aftrapgh.com/aftrapgh_feed.xml. As soon as a story is updated or added, your desktop will update also. It's simpler than it sounds. No, really. It is.
