You’re invited… Roberta Reardon, who served since 2003 as President of the New York Local, was elected AFTRA’s National President last July. Professionally, she began her career performing in daytime dramas. She has since appeared in hundreds of commercials for a variety of sponsors. In addition, she does TV voiceover work, radio commercials, industrial films and narration. She has performed many diverse roles in New York and regional theatre, has taught on the faculty of The School for Film and Television and is a guest lecturer at Wagner College. Ms. Reardon has served on the New York Local Board since 1997 and the AFTRA National Board since 1998. She was National Chair of the Non-Broadcast/Industrial contracts and the Commercials contracts negotiations. She was a member of the 2004 AFTRA Strategic Alliances Committee and is a Board member of AFTRA’s George Heller Memorial Scholarship Fund and the AFTRA Foundation. Reardon also sits on the Arts and Entertainment Committee of the New York State Federation of the AFL-CIO and is a 2005 graduate of the New York State AFL/Cornell Union Leadership Institute. She is also the Recording Secretary of the New York Production Alliance.
