PITTSBURGH (December 17, 2008)  Today's Post-Gazette noted the passing of a wonderful man, talented actor and longtime AFTRAn. Hank Stohl died Monday, December 15th at his home in the South Hills. Hank was 81.

Hank spent many years in Pittsburgh TV performing on a number of shows, including "Popeye and Knish" on WTAE-TV whish featured his two iconic puppets, Rodney and Knish. He spent the next four decades shuttling between New York and Los Angeles for his many acting and voiceover gigs, with the regular detour to Pittsburgh for his TV commitments.

Mr. Stohl is survived by his wife, Anita; children Donna Zeller, Henry S. Zakowski II, Julianne Gemino, Michael Hegley, Erik Stohl and Robert Perry; and sisters Leona Benson and Lois Cook.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 18th and 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Beinhauers, 2630 W. Liberty Ave., Dormont. Burial will be private.
