BOARD ELECTION RESULTS

PITTSBURGH (June 30, 2009) Members of the Nominating Committee and staff were involved in counting ballots for Local Officers, Local Board and National Board elections yesterday.

As a reminder, our officers are elected for two-year terms in odd-numbered years, and approximately half of our Local Board members are up for election every two years. The National Board seat is for three years.

The results of the referendum are as follows. Paul Martino was re-elected President; David Early, vice-president; Mark Roberts, Treasurer; Barbara Boylan, Secretary.

Mark Roberts was re-elected to the National Board, with Paul Martrino and David Early as First and Second alternates.

The seven freelance board seats that were up for election this year were won by Dana Hardy, Lisa Ann Goldsmith, Greg Johnstone, Dean Patterson, Jay Silvers, Gordon Spencer, and Holly Thuma. Goldsmith, Johnstone and Thuma are new additions to the Board.

Chuck Aber decided not to run this year, and we thank him for his many years of loyal service to the union. Amy Marsalis has moved to San Diego, and resigned her seat.

The station Board reps are elected by the station units and are not part of this election. For a complete list of Board members, click here.
