BOB SPRAGUE - Nov. 2, 1939 - July 17, 2010
PITTSBURGH (July 24, 2010) Bob Sprague, a longtime Pittsburgh AFTRA brother died Saturday, July 17, 2010, in his Squirrel Hill home. He was 70.

“PITTSBURGH (AP) — Robert Sprague, a former television and radio news reporter in Pittsburgh, has died at his home. Briana Sprague says her father died Saturday of natural causes at his Pittsburgh home.”
“Sprague was born in Bellefonte and grew up in State College before moving to Pittsburgh in 1969.
After working for KDKA-TV, the station's CBS affiliate, he went to work for KQV, and AM news radio station for nearly 25 years.
Sprague's daughter says he was a gifted storyteller even at home, reading Christmas stories and children's classics. He was also involved in various civic theater groups and choirs.
Sprague has been cremated and interred in a family cemetery in Osage, Iowa. A September memorial service is planned.”
