BROADCAST STEERING COMMITTEE TO HOST HEALTH PLAN MEETINGS

PITTSBURGH (May 28, 2004) AFTRA H&R Trustee and former AFTRA President Shelby Scott and Assistant National Executive Director Kim Roberts Hedgpeth will be in Pittsburgh on Thursday, June 17, to meet with members to discuss changes in the AFTRA H & R Fund.

As you may know, the Fund is facing difficult decisions in dealing with ballooning health costs and static revenue shortfall. To keep AFTRA strong, especially among our broadcast membership who are Plan participants, it is vitally important that we be well informed.

Two special meetings of the local Broadcast Steering Committee have been scheduled on June 17th, at 2:30 and 7:30 PM at the Hilton. All station reps are strongly encouraged to attend, as well as all broadcasters and freelancers covered by the Health Fund. All other members are invited as well.
