REPORT OF THE NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE

 

RE: ELECTION OF FREELANCE MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL BOARD AND NATIONAL BOARD MEMBER

 

April 8, 2004

 

At the AFTRA Board Meeting of March 10, 2003, President Paul Martino appointed a Nominating Committee. Members of the Committee are: Alan Boal, Chair, Adrienne Wehr, Mark Roberts, Chris Lacey, Sean McDowell and Dennis Bowman.

 

In accordance with the Local’s Constitution and Bylaws, the Committee makes the following report of Candidates for Freelance Members of the Board for a two-year term of office commencing July 1, 2004.

 

            Nancy Mimless                                  Mark Field

            Leslie McCombs                                Adrienne Wehr

            Mark Roberts                                    Steve Stone

            John Garry                                         Alan Boal

 

Additionally, the Committee reports the following candidates for National Board Member and Alternate National Board Member:

 

            Mark Roberts, for National Board Member

            Paul Martino, for National Board Member Alternate

 

The Committee wishes to remind members that, in addition to the names reported above, the name of any active member in good standing may be added and placed on the ballot for office. To do so, a NOMINATING PETITION signed by at least ten (10) active members in good standing (Local Board) or at least twenty (20) members in good standing (National Board) may be submitted to the Executive Director. Such petitions must be received in the AFTRA office by 5:00 PM Monday, May 10, 2004. Voting will be by mail immediately thereafter.
