MARTINO NAMES NOMINATING COMMITTEE
PITTSBURGH (March 11, 2004) - At last evening's Board of Directors meeting, AFTRA Pittsburgh President Paul Martino named six members to the Local's Nominating Committee. The committee is charged with determining the slate for this year's Board elections.
Former President Alan Boal was selected to chair the committee. Board members Adrienne Wehr and Mark Roberts were also named. Sean McDowell, Chris Lacey and Dennis Bowman were drawn from the general membership.
There are fifteen freelance board members elected for
two-year terms in staggered years. This year, eight seats are to be filled.
They are currently held by:
- Open - (Formerly Natalie Baker-Shirer)
- Alan Boal
- Susan Chapek
- David Early
- Jack Etzel
- John Garry
- Mark Roberts
- Adrienne Wehr
In addition to the eight Board openings, we will also
nominate candidates for:
- National Board Representative (Incumbent - Susan Chapek)
- Alternate National Board Representative (Incumbent - Mark Roberts)
Our Constitution requires that a nominating committee
comprised of six members, three from the Board, and three from the general
membership, be named at least ninety (90) days prior to the annual membership
meeting.
These computations assume a June 14th membership
meeting.
